Alle drei Festivals der Prog-Triangel, die Veranstaltungen in Ramstein Congress Center (CCR) und München Alte Kongresshalle 2026 das erste Mal, haben nun erfolgreich stattgefunden. Drei sehr schöne Spielstätten mit sehr gutem Programm. In München direkt an den Theresienwies'n wurde an zwei Tagen ein wahres Mammut-Programm mit sagenhaften 11 Bands (Triangel zusammen 33 Bands aus der gesamten Welt) geboten. Siehe dazu den Vorbericht TAP Fest. Aber nicht nur über gute Musik gibt es zu berichten, sondern auch über einiges mehr !! Der Bericht ist in Arbeit und kommt demnächst !!
Was insgesamt doch etwas enttäuschend war, vor allem für die mutigen drei Veranstalter in Reichenbach, Ramstein und München, waren die mäßige Resonanz und überschaubaren Besucherzahlen. Und das betrifft dann indirekt auch die Ständler (München: Empire, eclipsed, Progressive Promotion Records, MaRaCash Records, Ole Ohlendorff), Merchandise, Catering, Hallenbetreiber, Restauration, Hotels. Zu dem Thema passen auch drei parallellaufende Veranstaltungen: 1. Ausverkauftes Konzert-Jubiläum der Pop-Rocker Sportfreunde Stiller im Olympiapark, 2. Bei der großen Demo und Party Krachparade (Motto: Lärm rauf, Mieten runter! – Bass statt Hass – Keine Kultur ohne Krach!) forderten 20.000 junge Menschen lautstark und deutlich mehr bezahlbaren Wohnraum, Kultur und Freiräume, 3. Beim European Song Contest (ESC) schauen weltweit 180 Millionen Menschen zu und Germanien wird wieder als Sympathieträger leistungsstark Vorletzter. Auch rund um die Kongresshalle wurde überall gefeiert. Das Thema Kulturverfall greifen wir ja seit Jahren regelmäßig auf, aber umso schmerzhafter ist alles, wenn gute motivierte Freunde die Rechnung für diese unfähige Führung bekommen. Die blau-weiß-schwarze Zentrale der Unfähigkeit ist leider Bayern, das von 1945 bis heute. Jedoch gibt es auch hier im Land hinter dem Weißwurst-Äquator immer mehr Menschen die Widerstand organisieren und das Heft des Handelns selbst in die Hand nehmen.

Hoffentlich haben die Veranstalter des 1. The Ancestry Rock Fest 2026 nach dem Kassensturz nun den Mut weiterzumachen. Michael Bäcker, Drahtzieher des Empire Magazin & Shop sowie Veranstalters des Empire Of Prog, bestätigte uns: wir gehen in die Zweite Runde !! Wir haben wieder viele besondere Menschen getroffen, beispielsweise Claudia & Daniel von der Sicherheit, die an den zwei Tagen jeweils nonstop 15 Stunden die Menschenströme lenkten, kontrollierten und behüteten. Aber auch die Menschen auf den ersten drei Fotos: Tom Müller und Elliott Leonetti (Sohn von Dominique) sowie Ben Knabe, der seinen Bernstein im Licht auflädt. Ebenso wie Thomas Burlefinger (Kurator und Mitveranstalter des TAP-Festivals) sowie stellvertretend für Lazuli aus Südfrankreich Dominique (Mitte) und Romain Thorel (Rechts). Auch unsere jüngste Generation von Rock-Fans stand schon am Einlass der Alten Kongresshalle, die Sicherheit empfing sie und betreute sie liebevoll !! Weiterhin haben wir die Set-Listen von sieben der elf Bands eingestellt, zum Anschauen und runterladen. Die restlichen Listen sind im Zulauf. Rosalie Cunningham hat die beiden Set-Listen eigenhändig auf Servietten geschrieben und für uns und besonders euch signiert. Auch hier ist Rosalie, wie gewohnt, sehr lebensfroh und lebensnah.
Update: 1st Ancestry Rock Fest 2026 – Munich (DE_BY) – English Version
All three festivals comprising the "Prog Triangle" — including the events held for the first time in 2026 at the Ramstein Congress Center (CCR) and Munich’s *Alte Kongresshalle* — have now successfully taken place. Three truly lovely venues featuring excellent lineups. In Munich — situated right next to the *Theresienwiese* — a veritable mammoth program unfolded over two days, featuring an astounding 11 bands (with the entire "Triangle" series collectively hosting 33 bands from all over the world). For more details, please refer to our TAP Fest preview report. However, there is more to report on than just the great music — quite a bit more, in fact! The full report is currently in the works and will be published very soon! What proved somewhat disappointing overall — especially for the three courageous organizers in Reichenbach, Ramstein, and Munich — was the lackluster public response and the modest attendance figures. This, in turn, indirectly impacted the various vendors (in Munich: Empire, *eclipsed*, Progressive Promotion Records, MaRaCash Records, Ole Ohlendorff), as well as the merchandise stalls, catering services, venue operators, restaurants, and hotels.
Three parallel events occurring at the same time also bear relevance to this topic: 1. A sold-out anniversary concert by the pop-rock band Sportfreunde Stiller at the Olympic Park; 2. The "Krachparade"—a major demonstration and street party where 20,000 young people loudly and clearly demanded more affordable housing, cultural opportunities, and public spaces; and 3. The Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), watched by 180 million people worldwide—an event where Germany, once again proving its consistent form, managed to finish a respectable second-to-last. Celebrations were also taking place everywhere in the immediate vicinity of the Congress Hall. We have been regularly addressing the issue of cultural decline for years now; however, the reality becomes all the more painful when good, highly motivated friends are the ones left to foot the bill for such incompetent leadership. Regrettably, the blue-white-and-black epicenter of incompetence is Bavaria—from 1945 right up to the present day. However, even here in this land situated "behind the *Weißwurst* Equator," an increasing number of people are organizing resistance and taking matters into their own hands. Hopefully, following their final financial tally, the organizers of the 1st *The Ancestry Rock Fest 2026* will now have the courage to carry on. Michael Bäcker—the mastermind behind *Empire Magazin & Shop* as well as the organizer of *Empire Of Prog*—confirmed to us: "We are heading into Round Two!" Below, you will find a selection of photos (presented chronologically, spanning from 2:00 PM on Saturday to midnight on Sunday) featuring the rock heroes who performed at the *Alte Kongresshalle*.
Once again, we encountered many remarkable people — such as Claudia and Daniel from the security team, who worked two non-stop 15-hour shifts over the weekend, directing, monitoring, and safeguarding the flow of the crowd. We also captured the individuals featured in the first three photos: Tom Müller, Elliott Leonetti (son of Dominique), and Ben Knabe — who can be seen "recharging" his piece of amber in the light. Also pictured are Thomas Burlefinger (curator and co-organizer of the TAP Festival), as well as Dominique (center) and Romain Thorel (right) — representing the band Lazuli from southern France. Even the youngest generation of rock fans was present at the entrance of the *Alte Kongresshalle*, where the security staff welcomed and looked after them with great care! Furthermore, we have uploaded the setlists for seven of the eleven bands, available for both viewing and downloading. The remaining setlists are currently on their way. Rosalie Cunningham personally handwritten her two setlists on napkins, signing them specifically for us — and, above all, for you. Les trois festivals du triangle prog, ceux du Centre des congrès de Ramstein (CCR) et de l’Alte Kongresshalle de Munich (ce dernier pour la première fois en 2026), se sont déroulés avec succès. Trois lieux magnifiques et une programmation de grande qualité. À Munich, juste à côté de la Theresienwiese (site de l’Oktoberfest), un programme colossal a été proposé sur deux jours, avec pas moins de 11 groupes (le triangle dans son ensemble réunit 33 groupes du monde entier). Consultez l’aperçu du TAP Fest. Mais il y a plus que de la bonne musique à dire ! Le compte rendu est en cours de rédaction et sera publié prochainement ! Le principal point négatif, notamment pour les trois courageux organisateurs de Reichenbach, Ramstein et Munich, a été la fréquentation modérée et un engouement limité. Et cela affecte indirectement les vendeurs (Munich : Empire, Eclipsed, Progressive Promotion Records, MaRaCash Records, Ole Ohlendorff), les commerçants, les traiteurs, les exploitants de salles de spectacle, les restaurants et les hôtels.
Trois événements parallèles illustrent également ce phénomène : 1. Le concert anniversaire à guichets fermés du groupe pop-rock Sportfreunde Stiller au Parc olympique ; 2. Lors de la grande manifestation et fête « Krachparade » (Parade du bruit), 20 000 jeunes ont réclamé avec force et conviction davantage de logements abordables, de culture et d’espaces publics ; 3. Le Concours Eurovision de la chanson (ESC) a été suivi par 180 millions de personnes dans le monde entier, et l’Allemagne, malgré une présence encourageante, s’est une fois de plus retrouvée en avant-dernière position. Des festivités ont également eu lieu aux abords du Palais des congrès. Nous abordons régulièrement la question du déclin culturel depuis des années, mais il est d’autant plus douloureux de voir des amis sincères et motivés en subir les conséquences. Le foyer de l'incompétence, selon la tradition, est malheureusement la Bavière, de 1945 à nos jours. Cependant, même ici, au-delà de l'équateur de la saucisse blanche, de plus en plus de gens s'organisent pour résister et prendre les choses en main. Espérons qu'après avoir fait le point sur les finances, les organisateurs du 1er Ancestry Rock Fest 2026 auront le courage de persévérer. Nous avons revu de nombreuses personnes formidables, comme Claudia et Daniel de la sécurité, qui ont géré et protégé la foule pendant 15 heures d'affilée chaque jour, durant les deux jours du festival. Mais aussi les personnes présentes sur les trois premières photos : Tom Müller et Elliott Leonetti (le fils de Dominique), ainsi que Ben Knabe, qui recharge son ambre à la lumière. On aperçoit également Thomas Burlefinger (curateur et co-organisateur du festival TAP) et, représentant Lazuli, Dominique (au centre) et Romain Thorel (à droite). Notre jeune génération de fans de rock attendait déjà à l’entrée de l’Alte Kongresshalle, où la sécurité les a accueillis et a veillé sur eux avec beaucoup d’attention ! Nous avons également publié les setlists de sept des onze groupes, consultables et téléchargeables. Les autres sont en cours d’acheminement. Rosalie Cunningham a personnellement écrit les deux setlists sur des serviettes et les a signées pour nous et spécialement pour vous. Là encore, Rosalie est, comme toujours, très enjouée et simple.
