eine geschickte Fusion aus Akustisch und Elektrisch, eine Melange aus Art, Fusion, Progressive, das Ergebnis von Verschmelzung dieser verschiedenen Genres. Darunter auch noch klassisch Metal, Rock, Jazz, aber auch lateinamerikanische Folklore, Chilenische-, Welt- und Klassische Musik, was sie dem Musik-Konsumenten mit ihrem üppigen Klang-Katalog aus inzwischen neun Alben plus Live-DVD Breitband präsentieren. Im Kern besteht diese interessante Formation aus der Hafenstadt Valparaíso seit Mitte der 90er aus den Gründern Félix Carbone (Schlagzeug, Perkussion), Ismael Alberto Cortez Aguilera (Gitarren, Gesang) und Francisco Rolando Cortez Aguilera (Cello, Bass, Perkussion, Gesang), werden von vielen Kennern als das perfekte Welt-Rock-Trio bezeichnet. Ihre wunderbare, meist instrumentale Fusion auch mit akustischen Klängen aus Vibraphon, Marimba, Darbukka, Cello führt auf eine erlebnisreiche Tour durch außergewöhnliche Melodien und manchmal zu ungewöhnlichen facettenreichen Progressiv-Rock-Krachern. Ihr Stil, auch mit spanischen Gesang, ist untypisch und hat nicht sehr viel Ähnlichkeiten mit anderen Bands in diesem Segment. Nach der akustischen Anthologie Ofrenda (Angebot, 2015), dann Órbitas (Orbit, 2016), noch aktuell Suramérica (Südamerika, 2023), nicht nur ein Beispiel für den progressiven weltzugewandten Ansatz der Band, sondern damit hält auch diese interessante Formation mit Stolz die Fahne des lateinamerikanischen progressiven Rock hoch. Eine kraftvolle Fusion, verdeutlicht eine tiefe Verbindung zwischen der Musik und dem reichen kulturellen Erbe dieser Kultur-Region. Mit Suramérica hat Tryo einen Höhepunkt in ihrer über 30-jährigen musikalischen Karriere erreicht, ein Album, das nicht nur ihre Präsenz in der Szene zeigt, sondern wir sie auch in einen Moment kreativer Brillanz als Trio mit einigen Gästen erleben. Hier hat das Kreativ-Team Melanie & Michael wieder einmal einen echten südamerikanischen Leckerbissen verpflichtet. Tryo beim Woodstock Forever Festival 2025

English Version – Not to be confused with the reggae chanson group of the same name from France, Tryo are big stars in Chile, similar in popularity to Flor De Loto from Lima in Peru. As with our Peruvian friends, their unique and distinctive sound is a skilful fusion of acoustic and electric, a mélange of art, fusion and progressive, the result of a fusion of these different genres. This also includes classic metal, rock, jazz, but also Latin American folklore, Chilean, world and classical music, which they present to music consumers with their lush sound catalogue of now nine albums plus live DVD Breitband. At its core, this interesting formation from the port city of Valparaíso has consisted since the mid-90s of founders Félix Carbone (drums, percussion), Ismael Alberto Cortez Aguilera (guitars, vocals) and Francisco Rolando Cortez Aguilera (cello, bass, percussion, vocals), described by many connoisseurs as the perfect world rock trio. Their wonderful, mostly instrumental fusion, which also incorporates acoustic sounds from the vibraphone, marimba, darbuka and cello, takes listeners on an eventful journey through extraordinary melodies and sometimes unusual, multifaceted progressive rock hits. Their style, which also features Spanish vocals, is atypical and bears little resemblance to other bands in this genre. Following the acoustic anthology Ofrenda (Offering, 2015), then Órbitas (Orbit, 2016), and now Suramérica (South America, 2023), not only is this an example of the band's progressive, cosmopolitan approach, but this interesting formation also proudly flies the flag for Latin American progressive rock. A powerful fusion, it highlights a deep connection between the music and the rich cultural heritage of this cultural region. With Suramérica, Tryo has reached a high point in their more than 30-year musical career, an album that not only showcases their presence on the scene, but also allows us to experience them in a moment of creative brilliance as a trio with several guests. Here, the creative team of Melanie & Michael has once again delivered a real South American treat. Music that once again shows how colourful our multicultural world still is and hopefully will remain for a long time to come.
